14 restarts, 3 failed runs. i shouldn’t be telling myself “it’s only 25% more health, and 50% faster bullets” because that line of thinking doesn’t assume that a lot can change in between a normal and an arcade run.
also apparently i lost all memory of phase 1, hurf da durf. time for some exhaustive sim15-rb1 training sessions in arcade difficulty tomorrow

Do you find you get anything out of training multiple stages simultaneously? I actively try to avoid it; if I spend an hour working on the st3 boss, then train the train stage boss just once, I invariably cock up stage 3.

training just one stage = forget others. they aren’t nearly as cemented into my mind like sim01 and sim05 are, so i kind of have to do them each in 5-10 minute sessions. if i’m stuck on something (like maintaining a chain in stage 30), i focus more time on it than the others.
also, exhaustive phase 2 training is what got me the normal clear. training that in arcade would be extra fun, what with the turrets all instantly firing unless i happen to pan into their dead zone (which is FAR smaller than the tanks themselves. hilarious!)
